Ron’s most recently published book, Workin’ Our Way Home, is the sequel and he is currently working on its movie script.
Dress is business casual as we shine the spotlight on those in the shadows and honor our 2019 Skyline Service Award recipients, Lenny and Mary Kaplan, founders of The Ice Angels of Mosaic, with dinner catered by The Petroleum Club.
Pre-event, VIP “Meet the Author” and book signing begin at 5:30. Registration and cash bar open at 6:30 pm. Dinner will be served at 7:00 pm. with program beginning at 7:45.
The proceeds from this evening will go toward providing clothing, food and eye care to those who live in the shadows of Oklahoma City's skyline. Our goal for this event is to raise $100,000, 50% of all proceeds above that amount will be dedicated for Outreach to the Homeless.
Skyline Urban Ministry, Inc. was incorporated in 1974 as a mission outreach of the Oklahoma Conference of the United Methodist Church. From its beginning as three separate programs at two locations, Skyline has grown and expanded, but the mission of filling the gaps for low-income households has stayed the same. While the focus of Skyline has always been upon the poor and needy of Oklahoma County, Skyline is blind to zip codes and will work to meet the needs of all who enter our doors.
Skyline partners with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and with the United Way of Central Oklahoma to help us meet the needs of the hungry and hurting in Oklahoma. For a full list of our partners, board members and information about our programs and event details, please click on the links above.
