Help Make Prom Possible
Attending prom is an exciting rite of passage for high school students. But it’s also an expense one and many can not afford everything required–from prom dresses, to tickets, to flowers and transportation. To help high school students remain in school and participate in this event we have a program called Prom Dress Event! Throughout the year we collect gently used prom dresses to give to any young woman who needs a dress for her prom. We especially need larger size dresses. These will be cleaned and distributed for this important “rite of passage.” We also provide accessories (purses, shoes, jewelry etc), so donations of these are needed. Please drop off your donations at any Nichols Hills Cleaners in town. They will clean them free of charge and deliver them to the McKee Center. Or if you prefer, you may drop them off at 500 SE 15th Street, Monday through Friday, 9am-3pm. For more information contact Melissa Ramey, Program Director at Skyline Urban Ministry (405) 632-2644.
