In obedience to the Biblical injunction, "there shall be no poor among you" (Deut. 15:4)  Skyline Urban Ministry commits to: build mutually empowering relationships with those in need; call the systems of society to justice; and mobilize the power of the church towards eradicating poverty in Oklahoma City.

OUR DIRECTOR
The Rev. Dr. Dale G. Tremper received his bachelor's degree from Stanford University in 1969, his M. Div. from Princeton Theological
Seminary in 1973 and his Doctor of Ministry from Perkins School of Theology in 1999.

He has served as pastor of churches in Newark, N.J., Los Angeles, Chicago, Little Rock, Spokane, WA and Oklahoma City.  He has been Executive Director of Skyline Urban Ministry Since June of 2001.


Dale has been married to the Rev. Sherron Hughes-Tremper since 1970.  (She is pastor of the Epworth UMC in Oklahoma City.)  They have two adult children.  Arrington, 30, is a poet-philosopher-songwriter-musician based in Olympia, WA and the father of granddaughter, Lucinda, age 12.  Stephanie, 25, is a Religion graduate from Oklahoma City University, married this summer to Jeremy Gameros and now completing her MA in Biblical Languages at Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, CA.

Dale’s passions in ministry are community development and community organizing, networking with many other groups and projects in the metro area.  His hobbies are physical fitness and sailing on Lake Hefner.
